Dean and Jesse came down from Delware to say their “I dos” at one of Charleston’s most iconic, charming and sought after wedding venues, The William Aiken House, built in 1810, right smack dab in the middle of upper King, one of downtown Charleston’s most popular destinations! It was the perfect spot for their 30 guests wedding, being that it was once a home where opulent dinner parties and celebrations took place! The moment Aaron and I walked into the dining room upstairs and saw it all set up for the dinner, with long banquet tables, gorgeous Spring florals, antique dinnerware, beautiful glassware, a monogrammed wedding cake and candles galore, I said to Aaron, “I feel like this is exactly what it looked liked when they would have dinner parties here in the 1800’s!” It was just absolutely beautiful! … and speaking of beautiful, can we talk about Jesse for a minute! This girl is STUNNING, inside and out, and her TWO designer wedding gowns, flawless diamond engagement ring, and cathedral veil were absolute perfection! She and Francesca of Pure Luxe Bride came up with an elegant and timeless navy blue, blush and gold palate which worked seamlessly with the William Aiken House decor! From the ombre laid rose petaled aisle runner, to the hanging chandelier over the ceremony site and the antique lounge furniture in the courtyard; it really was SO beautiful and so perfect for their intimate wedding! But don’t think there wasn’t a party to celebrate?! DJ Wade rocked the dance floor and didn’t play a song the crowd didn’t love, keeping the dance floor jumping, which is hard to do when it’s one of the hottest record days for June in Charleston! So happy for Jesse & Dean and we’re so excited to show off some of our favorite shots from their wedding!Congrats again J & D and we LOVE that we got to spend the whole day with you two!!!
