Weddings can be a beautiful whirlwind of a day, and Joey + Lacey’s was no exception! We started our morning bright and early at 7:30am for their brunch wedding and quickly realized how brunch weddings are our new favorite! We met the two of them, along with their bridal party & close family, at the Charleston Place Hotel, where Paper Dolls was starting on the girl’s hair & makeup! It was a beautiful morning, and everyone was calm and relaxed, with Starbucks in hand — my favorite kind of wedding mornings! Lacey slipped into her gorgeous lace gown and we all headed to the Rice Mill, minutes before she was set to walk the aisle! Like I said, it was a whirlwind! With the chance for rain looming over the whole day, the girls at Pure Luxe Bride found time in between setting up the GORGEOUS decor, to tent the ceremony site and drape it with beautiful pink and ivory drapes! What a difference some draping can make! Since Lacey & Joey opted not to do a “first look“, we eagerly anticipated the moment they would see each other for the first time and we LOVED Joey’s reaction to her and the way he took a really deep breath, moments before she was set to turn the corner and walk up the aisle! His face absolutely lit up; our favorite kind of reaction! The rest of the afternoon was spent with their guests, mingling around the beautiful waterfront venue, dancing, enjoying a delicious brunch from Good Food Catering and yummy cake from Delicious Desserts, and doing a whole lot of hugging, laughing and catching up! These two had a beautiful start to their first day of marriage, and are currently lounging in their unbelievable honeymoon suite in Costa Rica! What a life!
