Nahila, a gorgeous Venezuelan, and her groom, Bernard, a handsome Nicaraguan, currently reside in Miami, Floria, but chose Charleston, and Middleton Place in particular, for their destination wedding!!  Their dream was to have a garden-like, romantic and elegant outdoor wedding in the heart of Charleston, and with the help of Mac & B Events, they absolutely did!!  After the downtown wedding ceremony, guests were transported over to the plantation and led to the gorgeous Octagonal Garden, where they lounged on vintage furniture and sipped specialty cocktails, waterfront, under Live Oak Trees dripping in Spanish Moss!  While the weather was beautiful, guests did take advantage of using their hand fans, which sported hand-drawn images by Nahila’s mother, including the church, the plantation, horse drawn carriages driving the streets of downtown and the vintage Bentley that Nahila & Bernard rode in from the ceremony to the cocktail hour. After cocktail hour, guests were brought by horse drawn carriage down the historic driveway to the Pavilion, where they were greeted with a garden-like oasis of hanging florals, tables of beautiful greenery, and hand painted place setting stationery.  Nahila & Bernard wanted their guests to experience Southern hospitality at it’s best, without neglecting their Venezuelan & Nicaraguan heritage, so after lunch, the reception space turned into an incredible Latin dance party, lasting 7 hours and complete with confetti cannons, masks, wigs, light up party favors and some incredible Latin music!   Enjoy some of our fav shots from their Charleston wedding!
