We are absolutely loving this new trend of brunch weddings in Charleston!! With all of the beautiful natural light, the yummy food, the relaxed and casual atmosphere, and the bubble exits, you just can’t go wrong! They’re AWESOME and Kimberly + Clinton’s was our second THIS WEEK! Lucky us! Aaron and I arrived at the Carriage House at Magnolia Plantation bright and early to meet Kimberly when she arrived! It’s not often that we don’t meet our brides until the day of their wedding, but when Kimberly hopped out of the car and ran over to us with her arms open for a big hug, we KNEW it was going to be a fun day! … and we could only imagine how great Clinton would be, if she was this wonderful! … and we were right! He didn’t disappoint one bit!
Clinton was laid back and yet noticeably excited, and Kimberly was super sweet; one of the most bubbly and smily brides we’ve ever worked with! Even with the pending rain, she & Clinton were in such a great mood! WE LOVED IT! …and we’re so thankful for Pure Luxe Bride, their fabulous wedding planners, who were all for us switching up the timeline and for Paper Dolls, who quickly dolled Kimberly up (yes, pun intended!), so we could change up our timeline and add a first look to the day (so we could make sure we had beautiful portraits before the rain started!)! Leading up, Clinton was insistent on not seeing Kimberly before the wedding, but when Aaron and I approached him and asked if he would be okay adding it in, his response was, “If she wants to do it, let’s do it!” What a gem right?! We’re SO HAPPY he agreed, because we had the chance to run around the plantation and take some really beautiful photos for them to remember the day with! The rest of the morning and afternoon was like a beautiful party for close family & friends! It was intimate… and meaningful… and filled with DELICIOUS brunch and yummy Mimosas & fancy Bloody Marys with bacon included by Mosaic Catering and some of the prettiest spring flowers by Wildflowers Inc… and it was perfect for them (rain and all!)! We were SO THRILLED we were there to be a part of it!Congratulations Kimberly + Clinton!!! … even with the rain, your wedding was still beyond beautiful!
