I love how they say their story starts off like a joke. Girl walks into a bar…, because sometimes the greatest love stories can start off like a joke and end as an absolute fairytales!!  That’s Austin & David’s story!  This sweet as can be Georgia peach met this charming Virginia boy in the small historic college town of Charlottesville, VA as she was finishing up an internship. David was in town for a wedding, but lived in Arlington, VA after graduating from Virginia Tech. Their first date was to a Nats baseball game, and as Austin likes to say, “I knew I hit a home run!” … we totally agree, girl!  After dating long distance for over a year, David moved to Charlottesville to be close to Austin and the fun continued!  Then on a cold night in February, with half a foot of snow on the ground, David dropped to his knee and proposed in front of the Rotunda on UVA’s campus and the rest is history!!

We love that Austin & David chose to get married at the Daniel Island Club, just minutes from Austin’s dad’s home on the island and we were in love with their wedding design of soft pastels, TONS of incredible florals flown in from Florida and put together by a team full of incredible florists flown in from Detroit, each arranged in a beautiful vase (from her “Charleston Mom’s” company, Syndicate Sales), absolutely delicious food, and a band that kept nearly 90% of the guests on the dance floor all night!!  It was such a fun day; rain, no-seemums and all, because Austin & David were the most gracious hosts and their family & friends were over the moon for their marriage!  We couldn’t have asked for anything more!!  Enjoy some of our favorite shots from their day!
